Theming & Gameplay

Creepy Carnival looks and feels very authentic. Down to the wood chip flooring, you immediately feel as though you have stepped into an abandoned carnival itself in the dead of night; the atmospheric music and lighting helps to set the scene and immerses you completely.

It’s apparent that a lot of time and thought have gone in to the set design and even the weathering of items to give the illusion that the carnival has been left to rot for many a year.

Gameplay itself is mildly challenging, but flows well, leaving you almost always sure of what to tackle next. The puzzles are mostly linear and most offer a hint into what to continue onto, meaning that even if you are an escape room novice, your chances of escaping alive are fairly high.

Staff & Actors

Guiding participants through the experience are the Games Masters. These staff members are responsible for running the game, providing hints when necessary, and ensuring a positive experience for all players.

Your Games Master will first ask you to sign a waiver and then lead you upstairs for an introductory brief and give you a back story as to why you are entering the carnival.

As for the live actor — be prepared to be chased, intimidated and jump scared. If clowns aren’t your thing, let’s just say you might want to choose the Witchcraft and Wizardry (Hexmore) room instead.. .
